  • New flex connectors, shutoff valve and drain pan
  • Expansion tank and T&P line brought up to code
  • Earthquake strapping, seismic and venting checks
  • Old unit hauled away and recycled

Endless hot water

Tankless water heaters

Wall-mounted, on-demand heat that never runs out and frees up floor space. Ideal for larger families, remodels and homes that keep running out of hot water.

  • Load sizing so the unit keeps up with real demand
  • Gas line and venting upgrades handled in-house
  • Isolation valves installed for easy future flushes
  • Descaling and annual maintenance flushes
  • Tank-to-tankless conversions, start to finish

Not sure if it's time to replace?

If you spot any of these, call before it fails. A planned replacement always costs less than an emergency one plus water damage.

Why homeowners call us back

The name is the promise

Big plumbing outfits carry big overhead — fleets, call centers, commissioned sales reps — and it all lands on your invoice. We stayed small on purpose so the price reflects the work, not the marketing budget.

  • Straight answers. If a repair makes more sense than a replacement, we'll say so.
  • Licensed and bonded. Insured work, code-compliant installs, permits when required.
  • On time, or you hear from us. Real arrival windows and a courtesy call when we're close.
  • Clean finish. Shoe covers, drop cloths, and the old unit gone when we leave.

What neighbors say

Word of mouth is our whole marketing plan

Real five-star Yelp reviews from our customers — left under our former name, Speedy Water Heater. Same owner, same work, new name.

Wow. My water heater broke at 5am, called Speedy Water and they came out within a few hours. Not only did they do an amazing job replacing it, they also went above and beyond fixing the baseboard that holds the water heater. Thank you thank you!!!

— Tai D. 5-star Yelp review

Great service! First thing, I noticed on their website that they offer discounts to school teachers. I am a school teacher and this was a huge help. I came home from work one day and my water heater wasn't working. I called Speedy and they came out that day to replace my water heater. Quality work, fair prices and friendly employees.

— Melissa D. 5-star Yelp review

I waited till last minute to get my new water heater — it was from 1996 and on the verge of completely breaking. With family coming to stay, we needed a heater ASAP. Speedy was the only one who could come out in a timely manner. They use high end equipment and offered a great price. It was easy to get ahold of the owner to schedule an install time and payment. It was a very smooth process and I am pleased with the final result.

Common questions

How much does a water heater replacement cost?

It depends on size, fuel type and what the existing setup needs to meet code. Call us with the model label on your current unit and we'll give you a flat-rate quote — no charge, no obligation.

Tank or tankless — which should I get?

Tank units cost less up front and install faster. Tankless costs more but never runs out of hot water, lasts longer and frees up space. We'll walk through your household's demand and your budget before recommending either.

How long does an install take?

A straightforward tank-for-tank swap is usually two to four hours. Tankless conversions take longer because of gas line, venting and mounting work — often a full day.

Do you pull permits?

Yes, when the city requires one for the work. It protects you at resale and ensures the install is inspected.

Do you handle emergencies?

Call and we'll tell you honestly how fast we can get there. If it's actively flooding, shut off the water supply first, then call.

Are you the same company as Speedy Water Heater?

Yes. Same owner, same trucks, same work — we just changed the name to Small Plumber Small Prices. Our Yelp reviews were left under the old name.

What payment methods do you accept?

Cash, check and major cards. Payment is due when the work is complete and you're satisfied with it.
